Let's start with a win. 5A runnerup Houston Lamar beat Katy Morton Ranch 38-14. SMU QB Darrell Colbert hit SMU WR recruit Shelby Walker for a 56 yard TD. Colbert was 7 for 15 and 134 yards and 3 TDs. Walker caught 2 passes for 63 yards. Other Lamar SMU commitments include C Braylon Hyder and LB Kyran Mitchell. As usual Lamar's defense held opponent under under150 yards. The only real exception was Allen in 5A Championship.

SMU WR recruit Jordan Ingram caught 3 passes for 75 yards but Dallas Carter was upset by Dallas Lincoln

SMU LB recruit Lance Cottrell and Plano West were eliminated by Jesuit in a game in which the teams combined for over 1,100 yards. Jesuit's QB threw for over 500 yards and 2 Plano West RBs combined for over 400 yards rushing. Plano West finished a disappointing 6-5 after advancing deep into playoffs in 2012

SMU QB commitment Jordan Severt got off to a rough start with 2 first half interceptions but came back to lead Austin Westlake(7-4) to a victory over previously unbeaten Hendrickson 17-10. Severt was 12 for 21 for 196 1TD 2 Ints. For the season, Severt is 150 for 268(55.97) 2184 yards 19TDs 4 Ints

Anyone have any updates on Tyler Harris? It's interesting how quiet things have been about our only 4 star recruit with a chance of actually enrolling here post-DP . . . AND he's a QB (spoiled by GG?).

Anyway, I haven't seen much here or on the pay sites. How's he doing? Anyone have any news/updates?

As for Tyler Harris, his school is still alive in the playoffs per MaxPreps. You need a subscription to get stats, which I don't. Here's the link if anyone does...

His numbers this year almost seem like Kaiser's when he was in HS.
