Was there a bright side today?
Anything at all to build on? Other than Pope being a great two-way player?

Burcham got some much needed REAL game experience. Let's see what he learns from this and whether he shows improvement next week. if he's going to be our guy next year, he needs to get some game experience against someone other than our defense playing flag football. This year is playing out pretty much as most people expected

didn't miss any fg's.

Re: Was there a bright side today?
I think you are saying that to downplay how bad we got beat and how poor the recruiting has been. And how bad the future looks without this year's seniors on this team next year.Charleston Pony wrote:This year is playing out pretty much as most people expected

It just could be the nail we needed to end the JJ era gracefully....

That game made my head hurt. I hope our other QBs are better.

Re: Was there a bright side today?
I meet with guys I used to work with once or twice a year and one Californian who is an ACC fan has told me almost every time what a great coach SMU has in JJ. I suppose that back when Jones was at Hawaii he beat west coast teams some times and impressed my friend.
I doubt I'll hear that next time we eat lunch.
