Cool thing to do at every home game
Stumbled upon this video in youtube. Baylor does this in which every freshman runs into the football field...every home game!
Good way to start building into the freshmen that you HAVE TO GO TO THE GAMES!

You would have seen it first hand had you gone to the game in Waco last year.

+1. It was hot as hell that day. An absolutely terrible road trip, in retrospect.CenTXpony wrote:You would have seen it first hand had you gone to the game in Waco last year.

We opened the season at Baylor last year in 105 degree weather with Baylor's freshman line standing outside the entrance for at least an hour in scorching heat and direct sunlight. Where were you? Its impressive. So is Baylor's multiple games of 85% student participation in ticket sales.

What if, next year, we tied student eligibility for hoops tickets to football tickets? In other words, students who attend the most football games get first priority for basketball tickets?
Does that make too much sense?

That would work. Is there a way to track their attendance to football games through their student IDs?East Coast Mustang wrote:What if, next year, we tied student eligibility for hoops tickets to football tickets? I ask because when I was in school, we would give people that already graduated our ids and they could swipe in with no problems...so not sure the system lets them control how many times you swipe in/tracks attendance...

The 2012 Baylor Freshman Line versus SMU. College football-big crowds, time honored traditions , marching bands and historic rivals. That's what its about- not playing Florida International at 6-6 in the Bahama Mama bowl before 12,500 fans in the seats. Get your tickets to see the 2014 version when SMU opens up Baylor's new stadium next September. Hmm I don't see "declining college football attendance" in this video

1) relevant conference
2) absolutely nothing else to do for a distraction. Nothing. Especially bars
3) the opposite of a sophisticated student body
Not saying all that is good or bad - but those are the reasons. TCU has much more trouble with their students attending than Baylor does - Their students are somewhere between Baylor and SMU on the sophisticated scale, and they have distractions, although not like ours do.
plus lets face it - their student body is heavily Baptist and heavily boring.

What exactly is stallion trying to prove and who is he directing at? The 4 students that post here. Does anybody disagree our students don't care about football right now. A waste of a post.

What's new? He [deleted] about it all the time and yet 28,000 posts and not one original solution on how to improve student attendance from him.Treadway21 wrote:What exactly is stallion trying to prove and who is he directing at? I also like how Baylor puts their student section at midfield rather than the end zone.

Maybe the Houston Cougars will take this up as a new thing.
