We pack our house for TCU.

We have to build the same excitement in the student body for the rest of the games.
I have noticed that whenever we play TCU at home, we go CLUTCH in our marketing efforts for that game. Everyone in Dallas knows we are playing TCU because we go all out. We put flyers everywhere, every store , restaurant, bar etc. knows we are playing. We put ads on the highway. We put banners and yard signs everywhere. Can we build the same enthusiasm for every single game? Maybe promote each game as one step in getting that perfect season and that we need every soul to be in the game? We can do it. We pack our house vs. TCU. We can get those fans to love the game, every game!

Dude, all the promo in the world will not make people care to show up.

Good opponents with traveling fan bases and winning BIG will help.

Until SMU winning Big is a factor, then any positive effects from promotion and marketing will be negligible. It can work here and there from time to time,(see the SFA home opener a few years back), but winning big has to happen before any follow through attendance success occurs.

You really do need to explore SMU history more, most of us here on PonyFans have seen it all with SMU.

SMU should graduate Presidents, billionaires and Supreme Court justices like Harvard, Yale and Stanford. SMU's supporters should donate 10 Billion dollars so we can compete with those schools. SMU alumni are rich. We can afford it. The rest of you who disagree with me are just not committed and don't want to be like Harvard, Yale and Stanford like I do.
