Apparently, that was the message delivered in the meeting he had with the entire team this morning, according to the player who told me about the meeting last week.
We can still hope for a Hail Mary, but it would appear that all is status quo for next year, unless someone from our women's volleyball team catches his eye...

I'm going to do anything I can to dissuade (like I even had to do that) anyone from attending an SMU football game next year. If not for fear of ending up in the clink I would literally protest in front of Ford Stadium with a sandwich board of Jones' awesome 6-29 record against teams with winning records. What an absolute disgrace.
