Spirit squad in stands

Post by smusic 00 »

Anyone else find it awkward that the spirit squad stood and cheered in the aisles of the club seats until we scored our first bucket, then sprinted down to the floor? They did it during the ladies game, too.

We don't have a 'first bucket' tradition and I thought it was a little distracting, especially since we didn't score for a couple minutes.

I thought it was great. We need to start new traditions as well as keeping past ones. This team is worthy in my opinion!

I like the standing till we score bit, but I felt bad for the old men having to avert their eyes for three minutes while the girls shook their booties!

Ugh! Some folks don't get it. You don't "create" traditions. They just happen. It's an organic thing.

They should keep the spirit squad in the stands, and put them all across Moody as some sort of "yell leaders"

You should be banned for proposing aggie labeled concepts.

It works for Aggie real well. You can't expect the crowd to know what to chant without either having leaflets put in every seat before every game with the chants and the times to use them, or with cheerleaders standing in every section and pumping the crowd up. I think it adds to the game experience really well and we should try it out.

We need to be open to trying new things. Our main "traditions" were started by kids back in the 20th century, it's time for us to create new ones.
