Alumni ticket section for MSG???

Post by CacheMoneyMustang »

I know I'm jumping the gun here a bit, but I was thinking about buying tickets to the semi's, but then I heard that last year they made tickets available to alumni (and they were fairly cheap). Is it true that SMU will have its own section? Is this what normally happens with the NIT? Thanks in advance for any answers.

They will be distributed through the ticket office when they get their allotment, obviously this will happen after the game and they find out if they are advancing. They will likely be distributed by priority or that's how I would assume, ie. donor points, season ticket holder points, ect...whatever system SMU uses to determine importance of their donors. Otherwise, I'm sure you can get the regular tickets online now if they aren't already sold out through Ticketmaster or whoever is handling the distribution of the event.

Just an FYI. There are plenty of seats available through Ticketmaster and on Stubhub. In some cases the pricing on stubhub is competitive as a Knick Silver, Gold and Platinum season ticket holders unload very good seats. I got lucky and got semi final seats seven rows back in section 108. My cost was about 60 per ticket, actually a bit less than if I had been able to find seats that good thru Ticketmaster. I'm guessing prices on Stubhub will rise as teams are determined I took a chance and should be able to pass them along if....no....wait a minute.....we ARE going.
