Does this not help us as far as Sagarin rankings and all that good stuff?

It only helps us marginally in the Sagarin and RPI, since it's quality wins rather than quality losses that really matter. But I always like to play transitive property of sports, so if we only lost by 17 to Iowa in Iowa and Missouri lost by 18 at home, does that mean we're at least 1 point better than #3 (now #9) Mizzou?

True, but I need to have a "rooting" interest in any game I watch, so that's why I enjoyed this particular win. And besides, our losses look better if the teams we are losing against are great teams.
