Highland Park linebacker Mitchell Kaufman told PonyFans.com Friday that he has committed to sign in February. Most reports list him at 6-3 and between 215 and 220 pounds. Has an offer from Colgate, with reported interest from Baylor, Boston College and Cal (according to 247sports.com). Details coming soon.

He has never been safety and would not be fast enough for safety. He will make a very solid linebacker for us. Has only played 2 yrs - mostly basketball until last year.

too slow for safety, I bet he ends up as an inside linebacker. Could be 6 3 and 230 lbs before he steps foot on campus.
