FOX's Joel Klatt shared an interesting stat

Post by B1GPonyFan »

UCLA QB Brett Hundley has been sacked 98 times in the last 2 years and 2 games - 20 times more than the next guy who has played that long (Kelly at Az State). Klatt also mentioned how heavily penalized the Bruins were like 3rd most in the country. I'd like to know how many offensive line holding penalties are in that.

As for that offensive line...

1. Who is coaching and developing that OL?

2. Who may have recruited some of those guys?

3. Why is a Heisman Trophy candidate constantly running for his life? You won't stay in that race or keep your team in the Final Four race flat on your back.

Just passing along some information.

Passing along info for what? I don't think Klemm will be considered.

I haven't looked at this in awhile but I'm reasonably sure UCLA started 4 freshman OLM by the end of last year-I believe that is redshirt and true freshman.

UPDATE: I believe that's right because I found this from last week

"As a unit – with three true sophomores, a true freshman, and a transfer left tackle"

No OLM with more than 1 year on college campus-That will pretty much make an Offensive Line suck. Let's see after they've started their third year. OLM shouldn't hit the field until 3rd year on campus for a good program.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

So Klemm sucks?

USC started 2 or 3 true freshman in the oline and managed against a stout Stanford pretty well

So Klemm sucks?

I don't think you're allowed to talk like that on this board. As you can see UCLA's top 12 ranking is unjustified as is Hundley's Heisman candidacy as were the Final Four preseason projections because the OL hasn't been "coached up enough". So disregard everything you've read about the Bruins. Looks like that coaching staff is getting a pass.

My guess is it has something to do with a former coach who is now there that many on this board believe was the Recruiting Messiah run out on a rail by his boss. Again, just a guess.
