Several years ago, John Shumate chose not to offer Jason Sasser a scholarship because he only had one scholarship to give that year, and he had his heart set on Peter Bates. Mike Dement pulled off a recruiting coup when he landed Jeryl Sasser.
Last night, Jason Sasser scored two points in a preseason game for the Sacramento Kings, while Jeryl poured in four points for Orlando.

That's not cool. The Orlando paper had a story a few weeks ago in which Coach Doc Rivers said he expects a big year from Jeryl, and that he's worked really hard over the offseason.
