In the end Vick had to choose between Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky, SMU, Baylor, and Auburn, but the Mustangs eventually got the job done following an official visit to the school.

"I really liked the school and Coach Brown is a great coach," said Vick. "The facilities were nice and I feel I would fit in real well.

With his size, strength, and athleticism, Vick feels that he will fit in very well with what Larry Brown and his coaches try to do.

"They have an open offense, so I will have room to slash to the rim and also shoot, so I think I fit in with what they do well," explained Vick.

While Vick made his college choice, he also made another decision. Instead of entering college as a member of the 2015 class, Vick is going to do a year of prep school and head to college as a member of the 2016 class.

"This is the best decision for LaGerald," said Team Thad AAU coach Norton Hurd. "It will help him get ready athletically and academically for college."

I like the 2016 angle. The year at prep school will help him academically and we're plenty loaded at that spot for awhile, especially if Emelogou is eligible this year.
