Temple loses to Tulsa
So much for Temple stepping up. Tulsa, yes Tulsa now lead the conference. How quickly we have fallen.

Temple lost Cummings. If he doesn't get injured they win that game.

Did you watch? Temple was up until they lost their best dude on a flagrant 1.

Re: Temple loses to Tulsa
Temple shot 31 percent. Eighteen percent on threes. Tulsa was equally as bad in the first half but got it together in the second. And yeah, the flagrant was a turning point.

Instead of glass half empty response.
Why not look at this as progress for the 'bottom' half of the conference. The big knock on AAC is the huge disparity. Good for the conference to see Tulsa, Tulane, and others play well.
Temple still beat Kansas whether they lose to Tulsa or not.

Exactly; those who don't follow college bball should check out Tulsa's history. Good bball school with a pretty good fan following. They are a good conference mate.

A very small school in a non existent media market does not help our conference. N

So you want them to suck?

Re: Temple loses to Tulsa
Our conference is not where we strive to be. I do not care who is in it. We just need to be a dominant force and we have done work to do.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Temple loses to Tulsa
We may not love Tulsa in our conference, but the fact is that most SMU fans would love to have their basketball and football history over the past 10 years. They FAR exceeded our performance by virtually any metric.
Talk of ceiling height is great, but foundations, walls, and furnishings are important too.

Temple loses to Tulsa
Its a weird league with a lot of parity. Tulane is much better than I thought they would be. UCF should not be taken lightly today. Danny Manning left Tulsa in decent shape.
Re: Temple loses to Tulsa
They've been up & down so far this season in OOC play - including one completely inexplicable loss to D-II SEOK back in December (which could have been us against MWState, but thankfully we pulled it out) - that one loss will hurt them BIG come decision time in March, particularly if they end up as a bubble team. Will be interesting to see which team shows up against us in Feb - tomorrow night's home game against UConn (after the Husky win over Cincy this past weekend) will be telling.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
