The Cannen Turnover
Add it to SMU lore of completely choking.
Ponies win if not for that terrible turnover.

Re: The Cannen Turnover
Regardless of the call, this team did it to themselves. One better pass or one made free throw away. I'm sick but it is what it is.

Biggest choke of the year. We had it. I'm literally sick

Re: The Cannen Turnover
I don't understand why we don't call a timeout there to set up a play to inbound it to Nic. Get the ball to Nic and we win....that simple

yes it's never really about one play, one player
win as a team, lose as a team
but that Cannen turnover was devastating in a very big way
i agree we win if that turnover doesn't happen.
just sickening because it really wasn't a steal, just a horrible pass

Re: The Cannen Turnover
Nic got the ball and got not one but TWO shots.
Although a timeout would have been the smart thing there is no guarantee we would have gotten a better shot(s).
We made a three or four really bad mistakes at the end beginning with Nic giving up the ball late instead of taking it to the hoop and drawing a foul. After that everything went to S**t.

we have been doing this all year. I don't know how many times down the stretch when we know they are going to foul that we have thrown it into MK

Re: The Cannen Turnover
yeah. the goaltend was the correct call. just a bonehead play. that along with the aforementioned TO at midcourt.

Re: The Cannen Turnover
Don't forget, they gave us 2 also on the ridiculous boot to Manuel for a dunk. That's the play THEY talk about forever if Nic hits one at the end.
