Re: TCU Home and Home
Went to the KU-TCU game this year and it was half KU fans. No reason it shouldn't be the same for SMU people. Plenty of tickets to buy when they go on sale.

Re: TCU Home and Home
What does this do for us? I don't want to hear tradition or bs rivalry. Tell me what it does to elevate this program given we only have a handful of OOC games to make hay
Re: TCU Home and Home
LB is helping his buddy Trent out. Plus it is a likely SMU win which keeps the SMU faithful happy....especially after our football debacle.
It doesn't help the program but it scratches other itches.

It is a solid rpi top 150 team, that will keep getting better. Unless you advocate playing all games against rpi top 75 teams, I see nothing wrong with facing a traditional rival. This is a game that will sell out Moody when we play at home. This past season we faced teams with inferior rpi's including Lamar, Monmouth, Illinois Chicago.

Yeah because this hurts us so much more than UIC or Midwestern State.

Re: TCU Home and Home
It's all about tradition and scheduling a non-conf game that will always generate interest no matter the records. Nothing wrong with that.

Re: TCU Home and Home
If we start with the nose up in the air on hoops, they'll get worse in football. They already are grumbling because they believe our rpi kept them out of the playoff last year. Playing them in hoops keeps the rivalry alive until our football team gets back up to speed and solidifies a 100 year relationship.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

You may not want to hear rivalry, not sure why, but that absolutely matters. What school would you rather play in TCU's place? I'm sure if Baylor or OU or UNC or name any top team wanted to play us we could make it happen. Plus, TCU is improved. So, there's little to no danger of a resume killing loss. As for elevating the program, that will happen as soon as we win a tournament game or two.

Re: TCU Home and Home
LOL, the answers in this thread are pretty funny. You don't compare a crap power conference team w/scheduling Lamar or UIC, that's not how schedules are made. The only swap out that makes any sense is Wyoming. TCU doesn't help us replace Indiana or Ark. So, if this is our Wyoming, maybe. The tourney we are in Vegas wreaks too. We need 2 or 3 additional heavy hiters
