Looks like Coach Morris is off to a good start in the class. I have not counted how many have P5 offers but it sure seems like a lot have them in this class. Go Mustangs.

Re: #StangGang16
This note could have gone on the football page and one way or another similar things have been said there as well as under Recruiting. It might have been added to other threadson this page.
But I have several times thought about the difference between this coaching staff and the last one, and really the last several. Every year after the NLI signing day I would start to read about the list of early commitments to the class for the following year at Texas and other schools at a time when we had few or none. IIRC it was NOT just JJ. It went on for a long time. I don't remember a lot of comment on PONYFANS - it seemed there was a sort of acceptance that other programs had advantages SMU lacked.
It really has been great to watch what Coach Morris and his staff have done and are doing.
I do wish the moderators would add and update a list of future football commitments to the "Announcements" box at the top of the page.
Its a fun time to be a Mustangs fan and I have to offer my thanks (again) to the alumni who made it possible AND to the coaches.

The coaches are working their asses off. We may not be many in number but I hope we self examine they can help and lock arms with these guys.
Buy a couple of extra season tickets. Talk up the program to anyone who will listen. Put a sticker on your car. Buy an updated SMU shirt and hat or whatever.
Wehave to get this town to embrace our football team like they have our basketball team. When I hear a bunch of non SMU guys say "we" about football like they do our basketball I will know we are getting there.

List is right here and at least this part of the site, whose name we apparently can't anymore, is free.No Quarter wrote:

Speaking of car stickers...the Mustang Club use to have stickers. What happened to Mustang Club stickers? I asked the MC and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I would love to have one. (I this worthy of a new topic?)gostangs wrote:The coaches are working their asses off. Get the license plate and the pony metallic sticker. Much classier than a bumper sticker. IMHO. That's what I did anyway.
