Policy Shift sorely needed for this message board

Post by jc500 »

Gents,

I'll keep this one brief because the point is extraordinarily simple.

What does it take for the label "Rookie" to be removed from my name? Is it just a pure question of the number of posts? If so, this policy MUST BE CHANGED IMMEDIATELY.

In its place, we must institute a system that judges contributors on the quality of their posts. Sure, this system of posting-analysis may prove more costly to the good folks at Ponyfans.com, but there comes a time when you have to accept high costs in order to maintain excellence and respect within the community.

There can be no doubt that I have established my sage-like extensive knowledge of the Pony Hoops program.

If this system were in place now, my status would no doubt be one of the following:

LEGEND
LIVING LEGEND
LEGEND IN THE MAKING, or
THE SINGLE MOST BRILLIANT HUMAN BEING EVER TO GRACE THIS MESSAGE BOARD WITH HIS PRESENCE

It's clear to anyone operating on an elevated mental plane such as mine that my postings are, in fact, the most brilliant ever to be posted on any message board anywhere in the free world.

Please save the "Legend in his own mind" comments. They are unoriginal and speak volumes of your inability to conduct original thought.

I'm out

i will have to disagree with jc500. anything with judges, i try not to consider a sport. and this is a sports board, so we got to keep it clean. although, it breaks my heart that boxing has scoring judges. hagler beat leonard, and i still believe so. jc500 has lifted the disourse on this message board. but, i would downgrade some of you yahoo's to developmental league status. i won't mention names, you know who you are.

jc500: In the words of Bill Shakespeare, "Methinks thou dost protest too much!" I certainly hope your post was meant tongue in cheek.

If taking two paragraphs to say what one succinct sentence would say qualifies as raising the discourse of this board, well... and I think the better "Nom de guerre" would be Gasbag and henceforth JC500 should be called such. But hey, its better than being referred to as "Toad" or a "Frog".

Joey, I'm not sure how judging in boxing has anything to do with women's basketball, unless some kind of melee breaks out. In the immortal words of Roberto Duran, has jc500 said, No mas.

Yes, jc500, the status listed by each visitor's screen name is based on the number of posts, and is done automatically, not by us.

PonyPride -

I'm afraid you blew it. Now he'll post little posts until the "rookie" is changed.

I disagree no quarter. jc500 will not change his posting style so he can be considered a "veteran" as yourself. even as a "rookie", he could eat your lunch right in front of you. that is why he proposed the new status system.
