How Chad Morris plans to recapture early-season competitiveness for SMU

UNIVERSITY PARK -- In rebuilding SMU's football program, coach Chad Morris has talked to nearly every student group on campus. He has driven students to classes, spoken to alums about changing the culture and wowed recruits across Texas with his TempoCopter.
Optimism increased with his team's strong performances against top-five opponents Baylor and TCU, and a win over North Texas. The Mustangs exceeded their 2014 point total in four games with a ball-control offense on school-record pace.

SMU's losses have been to teams with a combined record of 30-3. Four of those five opponents -- TCU, Baylor, James Madison and Houston -- are undefeated.
