you just can't do that big a buy out, and then pass the hat again to hire the next guy.
At least we can commiserate. We knew three years before June left we had to do something else, but couldn't afford the buy out either.

That's not completely accurate. The people who paid his salary wanted to let things play out. They were not interested in a buyout. There was a lot of talk prior to his last season, but they felt like he should have a chance to turn it around after the 5-7 season. It wasn't about affording...
