SMU coaches relationships with high school coaches helping

SMU relationships with high school coaches are helping them find players early in the recruiting process. These high school coaches are giving Chad Morris and staff the early heads ups on players that will be P5 prospects before the word gets out. Relations are just as import if not more important than evaluations. This is something the previous staff just did not have enough of. You can evaluate a player late in the recruiting process and offer him late but by then everyone else has offered him. But when the high school coaches give you the inside scoop first you can look at the prospect first and offer first. That is what this staff seems to be doing. Having a head coach that was the president of the Texas High School Football Coaches Association helps greatly. As we can see we are offering P5 players before the P5 schools even know about some of them. And I believe we will get a good bit of them. These coaches have relationships with the Texas high school coaches. Kudos to Coach Morris and staff. Keep up the outstanding work.
