PowerMizzou.com has confirmed that Missouri will hire Jim Sterk away from San Diego State as its next Director of Athletics. The news was originally reported by Bill Pollock of MissouriNet.
TALK WITH MIZZOU FANS ABOUT THE NEW HIRE
Sterk has been at San Diego State for six years, during which time the Aztecs have won 32 conference championships. He had previous stints at Portland State and Washington State as the Athletic Director. You can read his full bio here.

On July 13th, PowerMizzou.com broke the news that Mack Rhoades would leave Missouri to become the Director of Athletics at Baylor. Mizzou immediately named Rhoades' No. 2 Wren Baker as the interim AD. Since then, Baker has taken the Athletic Director job at North Texas and both Interim Chancellor Hank Foley and Deputy AD Sarah Reesman have been named interim directors at Mizzou.
At this time there is no official announcement of the hire from the University. Typically, the hire will need to be approved by the Board of Curators, so official word could take a few days.

Mizzou is more like how to get kicked out of the SEC........Mizzou enrollment, academics, sports, and alumni donations are all in trouble. Almost ever senior academic and management post is presently staffed by an "interim" person.
Their best sports program is their men's swimming team, which by the way is run by an SMU swimming alum, Mook Rhodebaugh.

Re: Mizzou hiring Jim Sterk from SDSU
As a San Diego guy, this was a VERY good hire for Mizzou. Sterk did great things at SDSU and now the job is really one of the better non-P5 gigs out there. Other than playing in the [deleted] hole that is Qaulcomm Stadium, their facilities are great. Viejas Arena is an awesome place for bball games. "The Show", their version of The Mob, is a pretty awesome student group. Would love to get a home and home with them at some point.
SDSU is just hosed for eternity because the Pac-12 will never take them any reason whatsoever. Having a Cal State school is beneath them.
