We have a full stable of QBs for 2017:
-Ben Hicks
-Charlie Brewer
-Rafe Peavey
-DJ Gillins
And possibly Matt Davis.

Also...Xavier Jones will be back, Aphonso Thomas will be ready, the OL will be deep with the true frosh linemen having a year under their belts, Pursley and some of the injured guys coming back.

likely means Matt Davis likely won't get 6th year medical redshirt. He has to show a second year when he suffered a season ending injury. There is some confusion about his year at Blinn? JUCO he suffered an injury but I thought he recovered to play later in season. He redshirted at A&M but I've never found anything about an injury. He did miss all but 1st game as a Junior in high school but fully recovered to play entire Senior high school season.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that list has him signing with Wisconsin.

Hope that's not the case, that's an impressive offer list.

And after a coaching change at Wisconsin resulted in an attempt to make him play WR, he went to Juco before committing to smu.

Or from the article, he willing moved to WR to get on the field then went to a JC.

Regardless of whether his move to WR was voluntary or not, he left the Badgers because he wanted to play QB.
