Turner makes 61 x more money than the average SMU graduate. Also 3rd highest ratio in the nation
SMU graduate making $54,600 compare that to
A&M $53,900
UT system $53,000

Have you seen the fountains around campus? They are spectacular

Overpaid for the product he delivers. I think he is a good fundraiser and ambassador, but it helps when you have many wealthy alums that are retiring. He has been president too long, and SMU has become stagnant. We need an infusion of new ideas.

SMU, once again setting the bar on salaries.
He is the tiki of College Presidents....I kid, I kid...kinda.
Good news is with that type of $$$ we should be able to attract top talent when RGT retires.

Very impressive for a law dean, not sure what type of university president he would make. Maybe Pye 2.0, maybe not. Bet he doesn't make close to $3.3 million at Duke.

I heard Turner's base pay is $750K and he normally makes in the $1-$1.5M range. Is there some sort of incentive pay that was paid the year of this study?
BTW, Dr Khator at UH is also the chancellor of the UH System.
