Tough loss...but, program still intact. Let's look forward.

Yes, we have a strong core that will hopefully come back. We are eligible for the post-season with no APR concerns. We have two stud prospects on the team in Semi and Shake. We have a budding star in Jarrey. Our coach seems to figure it out 9 times out of 10. Unfortunately, we couldn't find an answer to the zone defense today but as long as we manage to recruit at a high level, we will have many more opportunities to watch the program grow and succeed. I feel for our seniors who will relive those miscues for the rest of their lives.

I think people are allowed to vent after something like that. A semi-anonymous internet forum seems like a decent place.

I do think we still have a bright future; really stings right now though.

100% agree. Don't like seeing the we are screwed or any of that, but Battered Mustang Syndrome is a hard thing to get over and loss like this are heartbreaking..

This is a place to vent, because wow that was painful.

I said that if we lost, I at least wanted it to be non-controversial. I guess I got that much. We lost that one ourselves. Obviously still proud of the team, but it still hurts.

Not enough guys stepped up on offense today. That was a sad way to go out for BM.

Yeah, it hurts.

Game analysis is one thing. Calling fantastic athletes and smart coaches chokers and losers from your couch? That's a bit much.

Sick of losing in the dying seconds when it counts. Our conference does us no favors

How can anyone think about the future now?

Very sad. For the team. Screw USC. Hope they get blown out next game.

a lot of immaturity for sure, but I might have been the same way 40 years ago. As you age, I think you appreciate all the blessings you've enjoyed in life and this year's SMU basketball season was another one of them for me. In the post death penalty era, I often wondered whether I would ever see a packed Moody again, SMU playing for conference championships and earning invites to the dance. I just hope we can keep this thing going in the right direction and play in the post season year after year. Getting back to the field of 68 will be a challenge next year

It's ok for people to be upset. I mean I was barely alive the last time we won an NCAA tournament game. But yes we should be good again next year, but two heartbreaking losses in the tournament can wear on you.

Fair enough. I'll miss the hell out of our seniors and still hope we get out the checkbook for Jank if other teams come calling.
