Great idea, but even without it I would like to see more Atlantic 10 schools on our schedule.

I don't see how this is a good idea. While the A10 is a good basketball league, I think it is viewed by most as below the AAC, especiallyΓÇï after the addition of Wichita St. I think we should try for the BE or any if the P5 conferences instead.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

The schools would probably be for it - good exposure in that part of the country for us, good exposure in the south, Texas, and now Midwest for them.

The top schools want a premier league. SMU can schedule an A10 team now so why do a challenge?

I don't see any P5 conference willing to do a challenge but Big East is certainly a possibility, especially considering the AAC grew out of the Big East. Wichita State also has some history with Creighton so it is certainly another possibility, but the current Big East would undoubtedly prefer an arrangement with the ACC if they could replace the Big 10 in that role

we need something. anything.
Re: AAC vs Atlantic 10 Challenge?
Big East already has one with the Big 10, Big 12 and SEC have one and ACC and Big 10 have one. I don't see any of them, or PAC 12 doing one with the AAC at this point. I see no harm in doing one with the A-10 and improving the SOS. Sure we "could" schedule A10 teams now, but I don't see any on the schedule...
