Danny Manning? I think he coaches at Wake now. He was the number 1 pick I believe.

But yes - he was the #1 pick in the 1988 NBA draft and is at Wake.

Larry actually selected one of his own Kansas players with the last pick in the third round in that same 1988 Danny Manning Draft. The San Antonio Spurs selected Archie Marshall with the 75th pick.
But technically, it was a couple of years later in the 1991 draft when Mark Randall was selected by the Bulls:
26 years between draft picks coached by Larry Brown!
