well AusTxPony, according to the new NCAA rule, practice can begin 42 days before your first game. So for us that will be a week from tomorrow. And according to our good friend Jon Rothstein, college basketball officially starts in 8 days so, I guess most schools begin in a little over a week.

So Cal,
I couldn't find any hoops players in the 50s, I'll admit I didn't look very long. The last couple of years I've used football players in the countdown out of necessity. Plus, Mitch was a good player for us. But for 50 I'll get creative....

I'm going to swing by Crum today and see if and when we can watch a practice. I've found practice info in the media for the other metroplex D1 basketball schools but nothing for SMU......
