If Maxey goes to the first fall class he will be since Mudiay did not get to that point.

Mudiay was slightly rated higher but the day we hired Tyrone Maxey this became bigger. No eligibility issues with Maxey. Other high major schools back off of Mudiay for obvious reasons, LB didnΓÇÖt.

Maxey is almost a must get for SMU to continually be in the top 3 in the AAC imo.

Landing a player like this post LB would go a long way to easing concerns that we are going to backslide into irrelevance in basketball.

Can't say I agree with that. If we keep recruiting how we have been and bringing in talented transfers I think we will still be a top 3 AAC program. I think Maxey is a must get if we want to take a big step forward on the national scene. Maxey is the type of guy who opens the door for other Top 50 prospects down the line and could potentially take us to an Elite 8/Final 4 depending on what we have around him. Special prospect.

Maxey had a game the night of our first game so he wasn't there. I am assuming he will be there tomorrow, which kinda sucks since I am assuming the crowd will be pretty blah, because the cowboys game.

Not all transfers are like Semi obviously. Some go well and some donΓÇÖt as we have seen here. But Maxey will need another scorer beside him to make the team more balanced. If we miss on Maxey it would not be good imo.

Until college basketball recruiting gets cleaned up, we are for the most part going to be a "recruit above average players and try to get great transfers" program. Transfers will always be a key to our success, but Maxey would put it over the top...

If we donΓÇÖt get Maxey and another pure shooter be it transfer or freshmen recruit it will not be good for us imo.

A little extreme here. We need to actually win an NCAA tournament game. We can survive and thrive with the right mix, but until we get that big March win we won't really draw the guys we want to elevate the brand. Maxey is a strong piece, but not some magic unicorn.

Agree. Enter Chris Harris Jr. I have seen him play a few times in the past and watched his highlights and the guy is a PURE shooter. I've said it to several people got to snatch Maxey and Harris everything after that is gravy.
