UConn's annual beatdown from SMU. Looks like most other teams have joined the party too.

I've decided not to make the trip across the sound for this one....so no "KEEP KEVIN" sign in the stands.
It's been a really rough week and a solid road win would help....alot!

Re: Official: SMU vs. UCONN Thread
UConn is overdue to play well and they just might get as fired up for SMU given our recent dominance of the AAC as we did when they opened Moody. Should be interesting

I'll hold off my comments towards UCONN. While I enjoy reading them, they're going to be a tough road game as they always seem to be.
2017 - W 69-91
2016 - L 62-68 (won at home)
2015 - L 73-81 (won at home) - beat them at their place in tourney (62-54).
So it looks like within that time period only 2-2 on the road. We're down two players with Foster being a starter. It's going to be a rough one but I hope we can get ahead early and maintain it. We are going to need Shake and Jimmy being on their game. Pony up. Put down the Huskies!

Larrier is out and Cobb is most likely still suspended. They are hurting as bad as we are.
They only have 1.5 guys who can score: Adams and sometimes Vital.
If we can start well and suck the energy out of Gampel (what's left of it) we'll be fine.

That's good news - is Larrier officially out? I thought he was still a possibility to play.

I read he was having surgery this week and would be out 7-10 days so he should be out.

Those games occurred when they still had some decent guys. Now they have 1, 2 max.
Re: Official: SMU vs. UCONN Thread
It is still a dangerous game for SMU. Keep in mind they won at Tulane, something we failed to do even at full strength. We should win, but we need to play them as if they are UCONN and not sleepwalk through the game which we have done too often this season.

Won't be a walk in the park. NONE of our games will be. We need to play with energy and passion and need big time production out of Agau and quality minutes from Landrum and Douglas this and every game to get back into the tourney discussion. Big game. Gotta get that dub!

For those that can't be there or watch, XM radio will have it on channel 201 starting at 5:30 PM CST. I will get to listen thank goodness. Once again, we face a daunting future with limited players. Those that stay will not only be champions, but champions well scholled in adversity.

Actually XC we were not at full strength when we played Tulane. You might remember
that Ethan was back in Dallas with a cold/flu. We still should have won.
But I do agree with your overall idea that this is a road game, and with the exception of
the Wichita game we really haven't played all that well on the road. Maybe post Wichita
we will break through and beat more people on the road.
