Very weak. And very disappointing.

Looks like a below-average recruit Coach Doh would sign.

If we want to be an NCAA tourney team, or even an NIT team, Jank has to do better than this.

RPI by school:

Middle TN St - 33, but an NIT team
SMU - 112
Oregon St - 137
Towson - 153
DePaul - 185

To those who question Jank regarding this point guard, I offer the following: Jank recruited Nic Moore, a three star, to Illinois State. Take the time to review NicΓÇÖs Offers. Granted more in number than Torres, but quality of offers very midlin and maybe less than Torres. I trust in Jank.

Days before the reseat deadline. IΓÇÖm not encouraged. What does this say about E. Landrum.
Pretty obvious.

Many of the Top Schools don't even recruit Juco's.

Offer List
Va Tech
St. Bonaventure
DePaul
Washington State

Nothing incredible here, but nothing to get upset about either.

To those who question Jank regarding his recruiting acumen, I offer his last 2 classes.

I donΓÇÖt buy for 1 second this BS hypothesis that our coach has some secret recruiting skills that allows him to find diamonds.

Not for tiki, not for Jank, not for anyone.

I'm with SoCal....
Just because Jank recruited Nic (who was after all Mr. Basketball in Indiana)... Nic clearly was overlooked by traditional schools due to his stature.

If we want to be an NCAA team we got to recruit the top 150 players. This JUCO kid is not that.

Jank doesn't have some magical ability to make a DITR into an NBA player.

Jank must have missed on some other players to be going after this kid.

This guy can ball. Reportedly Gonzaga, S. Carolina and VCU are also interested.

I like this kids game. Still think I would rather have Wendell Mitchell, but he would be a solid grab. He can score from deep, off the dribble and at the rim. Seems to be a real solid athlete. He averaged over 17PPG and 8APG (2 nationally in JuCo) this year and shot almost 50% from 2 and over 40% from 3. I would take him in a second. He can play.

The fact we are recruiting several PG/CGs at the moment says a lot about what the staff thinks of our current options. Thankfully they are trying to address it.

I agree we need to land more top 150 type players along with grabbing a Couple of high end transfers, but you can do just fine landing solid JuCos. Ask UH how they built there solid team this season with Corey Davis, Rob Gray, and Devin Davis. Just because you arenΓÇÖt top 150 out of HS doesnΓÇÖt mean you canΓÇÖt play.

these Rob Gray comparisons confuse me.

Juco G who had offers from Tech, a team 1 game away from the Final Four, Tennessee, a 3-seed in this yearsΓÇÖ tourney, GA Tech, Mississippi and Memphis.

Oh but I forgot, lots of teams donΓÇÖt recruit JucoΓÇÖs.

Corey Davis, first-team JUCO All-American at San Jacinto College.

Selected Coogs over offers from Arizona, OK St and LSU, among others.

Oh, once again I forgot, many top schools donΓÇÖt recruit JucoΓÇÖs.

Devin Davis had offers from Purdue and Illinois, committed to Indiana and played for Hoosiers his freshman year before going Juco route.

You see a pattern here, PLE???? Agree with your strategy, give Sampson credit for executing on it.
