I wish they hadn't limited this to K-8. It's not like this promotion is going to result in a sellout. Should have opened this up to any and all students. Years ago Mrs CP and I made a trip to UTC for a hoops game and were pleasantly surprised when we learned both our kids got in for $1. We need to be doing whatever we can to put more butts in seats at Ford. At least this is a start, but just didn't take it far enough in my opinion

Students in grades 9-12 are considered ΓÇÿrecruitable athletesΓÇÖ and therefore subject to recruiting limitations including discounted or free tickets.

If that's the case, UTC was in violation for allowing students (son was in H.S. at that time) to get in for $1 while accompanied by a full pay adult. NCAA has some incredibly stupid rules. Even then, we played them in front of a crowd of maybe 4,000 in a 10,000 seat arena.

At least they included the neanderthals so that you could get in free. Ha!
