It really is a shame that SMU and Larry Brown did not mutually appreciate each other enough to make it work. IT was a phenomenal situation for both parties.

I appreciate that this post, unlike lots of others previously put up here, at least recognizes that LB’s departure was a mutual error. Let’s be honest: his stay at SMU was fairly long by LB standards, and it worked out exactly as planned but for the fall-off in recruiting.

Would be nice to see him back with the program if only as a consultant but that would undoubtedly have the NCAA sniffing at our door again.
