It does seem they hate SMU as much as they do Cincy and Temple...teams they have much more history playing against than us. I wonder whether they even have a school they might consider their biggest "rival" in the AAC? UConn fans are much like a lot of our oldtimers...abandoned by the Big East teams much like we were abandoned by our former SWC mates. Not sure whether they even had a single biggest rival during their Big East days, but they certainly had a lot more history with several Big East schools.

Totally. I went to the games in the Garden a few years back, and went to the Champions Classic earlier in the week. A UConn fan sat behind me for the KU v. Duke game. I don't remember how it came up, but when it was clear I was an SMU fan, boy did he have thoughts. He also had thoughts -- spoken loudly in his annoying east coast accent -- about cheating on his wife before calling home to say goodnight to his kids, but that's a whole different story.

I agree with that 10-3 vs Uconn and that would make us 11-4 on the year and 3-0 in
conference and 3-0 on the road which is remarkable.
