"the Mob" is no more
I sit directly across from the Mob...there were lots of smu students at the game {probably under some threat} but the Mob seating area was only about half filled...less than that at the start of the game...again, from where I sit the smu alum band is far and away the most vocal and loudest group at Moody these days..I know similar comments have been on ponyfans recently, but I cant help but feel something could be done to either disband the Mob or kick their [deleted] into gear.

Re: "the Mob" is no more
I am interested in starting an fan alumni section similar to the mob but do not have to be an active student. Let me know what it should be called and where should we sit. I'm thinking we gather in the standing area section behind the band. Who is with me?

The MOB died as soon as LB left the building

The MOB was terminally ill once the original point system was implemented. LB leaving just went ahead and euthanized the MOB ahead of schedule.

TBH, this is the least of our concerns. The Mob is a symptom of a larger issue and worrying about it is a waste of time.

I believe that is referred to as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
But, as this is SMU it can be the oarlocks on the row boat.

I'd support this effort. I think it would be fun to have a smaller section filled up even when the students were out that could be a bit more vocally active.
I'm in 202 today. The corner sections are smaller and easier to fill, less expensive than the mid-court sections, they provide a better perspective on the game than behind the baskets, and because they are in the corners the noise would resonate more. But I'm willing to move around if someone wants to coordinate.
