UCONN RED-OUT

Post by sadderbudweiser »

Gotta give the boys in marketing credit here. The place will seem full. Putting those empty seats to good use.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess this one won't be nearly as exhilarating as the previous times we have had a red out against Connecticut!

The 2014 and 2015 games are particularly memorable!!!

2 words: Larry Brown. We can get back there but we need a coach recruiter at that level. Plain and simple. Excuses aside, Jank is neither.

I'm not trying to be cute, but I'm pretty sure everybody knows that.

I wasnΓÇÖt trying to be Captain Obvious. My point is, if SMU were to fire Jank and hire anyone of questionable pedigree, IΓÇÖm afraid we will sink into true irrelevancy and the momentum of New Moody, the resurgence created by LB will be done. SMU can not afford another bad hire. It has to swing for the fences and pay top $. We got LB for cheap because no one wanted him. The next one, wonΓÇÖt be cheap.

One need only watch the excitement of the video above to see what is possible here.

IΓÇÖve already informed SMU that IΓÇÖm not paying my reseat upgrade prices next year. And I donΓÇÖt think there will be a mad rush to buy my seats given the empty ones in front of me.

I'm sure there will be a lot of red (on faces) if UCONN comes in here and beats us. Not likely but could happen with this team and coach.

Only way this red-out will be a success is if SMU marketed the game as a Socialist rally. Students might actually show up and wear red.

We could leak that Bernie will debate W as the halftime entertainment - Capitalism vs Socialism.

If this team canΓÇÖt handle a banged up second division team at home.... weΓÇÖre getting close to the bottom.

6.5 point favorite

I expect a win. The team has had mostly close losses.
