Next Year's Rotation
Thinking this may be next year's eight-man rotation...thoughts?
-- Hunt
-- Mike
--Chargois
-- Jasey
-- Jolly
-- Bandoumel
Two of:
-- Cook
--McBride
-- Young
-- Ray
-- White
Wildcard:
-- McNeill
-- Additional recruit
Assessment: Will need another guard to step up, exceed expectations...possibly Cook or McBride? Has potential...thoughts?

Re: Next Year's Rotation
Things look good for McNeill to play next season.. obviously no guarantee so he is a wildcard as you say. We need to land one more contributor to have a pretty solid rotation.
Ray is a wildcard to me. Impressed when he first got to campus and could be a decent back-end rotation guy if he can stay healthy. Would be shocked if anyone else in that "two of" group did much next season.

Re: Next Year's Rotation
If Gilder wants to finish his collegiate career in Dallas, we just might end up with a pretty competitive 8 deep roster next year.
Re: Next Year's Rotation
Did Douglas transfer or get run off? I donΓÇÖt see him on your list and I count 13 if we land another recruit.

Re: Next Year's Rotation
My ideal starting point is 9 deep with Jasey being the tenth after OOC.
JOLLY
McNeil
Mike
Hunt
Chaggy
Jasey
(Harris)
(Gilder)
Bandoumel
Then, depending how recruiting ends up we fill out with
Ray
Young
MacBride
End of bench, medical and/or bus ticket:
Douglas
White
Cook
JOLLY
McNeil
Mike
Hunt
Chaggy
Jasey
(Harris)
(Gilder)
Bandoumel
Then, depending how recruiting ends up we fill out with
Ray
Young
MacBride
End of bench, medical and/or bus ticket:
Douglas
White
Cook

Well Harris isn't happening... &
Yep, ideally you want to be 8-9 deep with a real solid 7 man rotation for big games and down the stretch.

Bummer on Harris but understandable. Gotta grab Gilder now. Must.

Both he and Jolly are going to have to contribute significantly next year. Replacing McMurray and Whitt is going to be tough.

Re: Next Year's Rotation
I'd rather ride with a real post in Jasey and stop trying to make Mike and Chargois play a role they don't naturally fit especially defensively except when Jasey sits. Now you got a great 4 man rotation inside. I believe the reports on Janzy is that he was one of the better defensive players on the team. Better interior defense would be an immediate, significant improvement. You'll get better production from Hunt, Chargois and Mike if Jasey can play defense and concentrate on the inside and free them up on the court

Why? No other D1 coach offered him a scholarship.

Re: Next Year's Rotation
I don't know if anyone else offered but there is this -
northpolehoops.com/2018/11/21/emmanuel-bandoumel-commits-to-smu/
Bandoumel has been somewhat under the radar during his JUCO career, compared to when he came out of Jean-de-Brebeuf in Montreal, Quebec. He ended up choosing SMU over programs such as Baylor, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Minnesota, TCU and others that were on his trail.
He was a top 20 prospect in North Pole Hoops national player rankings when he came out in 2018. If history has told us anything, itΓÇÖs that the Canadians in the top 20 and beyond end up being pros at various levels.

He had no other offers. End of story.
Furthermore, we don't even know how many years he has to play. It might only be ONE ffs
