Post your apology to me here. I was raked over the coals two years ago for saying Jank was a joke but I have been proven right again. I was mocked this week by the bootlickers on this board. But we deserve better. We can be elite but Jank must go.

Out hustled, out played, out coached....by a middle tier Big East team without 2 of their best players.
Their defense completely befuddled us into quick shots, poor shots...
When another team can match up athletically we can’t handle the pressure.

We lost by 17. Texas lost to Georgetown by 16, Oklahoma State lost by 7. Yes, this is very difficult to watch but it’s one game. Unfortunately Georgetown was sizzling from three and our guys didn’t make anything in the first half. We needed to make a run in the second half and didn’t. I’m not attached to this staff so if we miss the NCAA tournament or NIT, then I agree we need to move on. At the same time it’s not my money so I understand if David Miller and the big time donors aren’t in the mood to pony up. I’ve said numerous times I would have made a change after last season. We didn’t and so I’m going to let it play out.

We had the weakest schedule in D1 leading into the Georgetown game. We were -4 on the spread and were down 20 the entire game.

Way too early to judge this team on tonight's performance alone. We stunk, Georgetown was hot. My biggest concern was their big man dominating. Hope Jasey can help us match up better when we face another talented big. Chargois has been a big disappointment so far this year and tonight may have been his worst game to date. Announcers talked about Davis' injury. Sure hope that was why the 5 turnovers against only 4 assists, but my fear is that our team just isn't as fast/quick as we are going to need to be to compete with tournament caliber teams. Would have liked to have seen Smith get some minutes. Is he hurt? One silver lining I suppose is that we again hit 80% of our FTs.

Our guys appeared to have their hearts in their throats early in that game. They weren't prepared for Georgetown's quickness and speed after playing mostly cupcakes those 1st 8 games (I will give Evansville credit for being competitive). Once Georgetown got out to a commanding lead, we started settling down and getting better looks, but still didn't have a good night shooting. Hopefully just one of those nights but it could be that our team is not nearly as talented as some of us want to believe they are.

Georgetown was on fire and hitting contested 3's they had no business making. 51.9% is way above average - combine that with 55.7% from the field and we have to give them kudos because the stars aligned. I don't believe it had anything to do with preparation or coaching.

We won the second half - nice considering the beat down to begin the game.
