New NIL Rules

Post by leopold »

I'm curious how people feel about the new Name, Image, Likeness Rules. Some are saying they are going to specifically aid in upper-tier G5 programs like us:

If this were to be true, it would aid a great deal in my biggest concern about the new rule changes, which is how it's going to affect the G5 as a whole and us specifically.

Bottom line is that a star can make $ no matter who he plays for...but prime time TV network is huge for exposure and "marketing". Might help to play in a major market with NFL and NBA teams in town. SMU and Dallas check those boxes

From the linked article:

ΓÇ£The AAC as a whole will benefit from this, as most of its programs identify with a big city. Take SMU, for example. They can put effort into being the college brand within the Dallas city limits.ΓÇ¥
