https://poetsandquantsforundergrads.com ... ranking/4/
The highest weighted data point of the entire ranking’s methodology, given a weight of 80% within the Academic Experience category, is the average of the 16 alumni questions on a one-to-10 scale. This year the Class of 2018 alumni from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College gave their experience the highest overall approval, averaging 9.35 out of a possible 10.0. Following Georgia Tech was Virginia’s McIntire School (9.28) and Wharton (also 9.28). Rounding out the top five were Southern Methodist Cox (9.20) and Indiana Kelley (9.19).
Overall ranking:
11. UT-Austin; #29 in employment
26. SMU Cox; #27 in employment
33. Houston
38. TCU
44. Tulane
60. OU
71. UTD
73. TX Tech
SMU's admissions ranking of #44 doesn't make sense. I'd bet it's at least in the top 25 because BBA Scholars (1/3 of class) have nearly a 1500 SAT average.
SMU Cox undergrad rated #2 in TX; #26 overall

Re: SMU Cox undergrad rated #2 in TX; #26 overall
This list is terrible. While they have Wharton right at #1, everything below that is debatable. I would not go to a single school after 10 and some schools in their top 10 over the BBA program at SMU. I think SMU BBA should be a legitimate top 10 program nationally. We just dont have the brand awareness, and our recruiting is too local/regional. We need to improve career services to make it a more national reach.

#8 Tepper School at Carnegie Mellon - 125 grads with avg salary of $77K, 70% in NE and MATL and ~10% are going to be IB analysts at varying banks. Excellent placement detail.

#16 Emory Goizueta -- 317 grads with avg salary of $69K, 70% in NE and South and 96% have job within three months of graduation

SMU Cox -- ~400 grads with avg salary of $66.4K, 77% in SW and NE and 94.4% have job within three months of graduation

McCombs at UT -- $67.7K avg salary, 85% in SW and NE

Carnegie Mellon is a STEM school with a solid b-school. Schools with more grads in the Northeast have higher average starting salaries. Tepper has a rather large % going into IB. Not so with consulting except Big 4.
And Wharton details where graduates go. That's the sign of a top organization. Average starting pay of $81K base. Goldman Sachs and McKinsey are consistently two of the top three employers.

Academic experience rating is encouraging.
Just by the fact that we are in the DFW area our grads should be getting good jobs.

A little surprised Richmond was that high. Good school, but not a world beater. Not surprised William and Mary moved up, they are recruiting some great faculty there.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
