Our Conference schedule must be the toughest in the AAC, missing only ECU and Temple, #9 and #11 on this list. Oh well, embrace the challenge.

The biggest concern they listed was missing our kicker. But we have a terrific one on the way.

I'm not going to get too hyped about an incoming FR but the coaching staff obviously feels good enough about him to have awarded a 'ship which is not common. Sure hope he can come in and excel because we might be in several tight games next year.

Never, ever put too much trust in a frosh kicker. Hopefully we have enough competition on campus.
Don't forget, we need K and P. And Kickoffs.

In his highlight clips, Hall crushes his kickoffs. That seems to be the first area he'll be ready to take over, probably from Day 1. Hope he can do all 3.

We lose our QB and we are picked 4th. In the past, if we lost our QB we would have been picked last. Anybody who has looked at the schedule can see what we are up against.
This is our opportunity to show out as a program rather than a two hit wonder.

2021 will be his fourth season at SMU. Calm down! We are replacing one of the best QBs in program history.

Ok that's right 4th year, Sonny only coached one SMU game in 2017
But how many years will it take until we win the AAC? 5?, 6?, 7?, 8?...ever?
It just seems like it's always "well just wait a year or two"...but then when a year or two passes....then a new excuse arises that requires....another year or two.

We are set up to be 1-2 in conference in 22,23,24 and onward from there if recruiting continues apace. Back away from the cliff.Insane_Pony_Posse wrote:mustangxc wrote:2021 will be his fourth season at SMU. Calm down! We are replacing one of the best QBs in program history.

We are definitely just a class and a half away.

This list feels a lot like
1. Cincy
2.A. Memphis
2.B. UCF
2.C. SMU
Any of the three could challenge Cincy depending on what pieces fall into place for each.

All I know is this will be the 1st time in the post DP era that we will have two 4 star QBs on the roster so that's a pretty good place to be. I like what we have on offense next year but it remains to be seen if they can put together a defense that will compete for an AAC Championship
