If this is a runaway, which it should be, do we really want to play Preston? I know game experience is essential, but if he can only play 4 games before burning his redshirt wouldn't it better to save him for games we really need him?

You only really need him if you think Tanner isn't going to be good.

I think Tanner is going to be very good. Definitely give Preston time when you can. And don't forget that Green is a legit QB as well.
