Yuuuuuuge game, 7-0 vs 6-1 Coogs. The winner of this game, will be in the drivers seat for the AAC Championship game at Cincy. The loser can turn their attention, to the Weed Eater Bowl. Have at it!

This will be a street fight, but depth and talent prevail.

This will be a good test of how good this team really is. All of the teams we've played so far have losing records. I think I saw our SoS is 117 but can't imagine Houston's being any better.
Tech, Tulane and ECU are the three games I hope are watching against the coogs. Tech losing to TCU would suggest a good sign for us. Tulane was only down 4 points mid through the 4th quarter before Houston got the space they needed plus a garbage time TD at the end. ECU sent them into overtime which one could argue the rain delay was an anomaly.
I think if we can replicate that first half performance against Tulane, this should be a solid win.
First half: 24-10 SMU
Final: 42-31 SMU

Don't forget the home field advantage and the throngs of fans! They might have had dozens of fans at the ECU game (I know weather delay, school night, working the morning shift at 7-11, etc.) and I expect a similar turnout when competing against the Astros for fans. This is why the big12 wanted them!

Houston has announced a blackout for Saturday, they will be wearing all black uniforms.

Blue is the logical choice for PonyFans to wear, since red is a no-no.
I'm guessing their blackout will be about as successful as ones at Ford, so it will be a mixed bag.

Well played on their part. Blue won't pop and can't wear red because of it being their colors.
I expect it to be an almost sold out crowd especially if those who can on our end do make it up there. They'll be exited to trying to ruin our season.

Not ready to make a prediction just yet, but have to be concerned that 5 or our 7 wins are against CBS' "Bottom 25" now that La Tech has joined that group

Not to lobby but 3 of theirs is in there and Tulsa and ECU can't be far away. They lost badly to Tech who lost to TCU and had to go OT with ECU. It's not dire. I really think it squarely sits: does SMU show up for 4 quarters or doesn't.
