Memphis
Big game tonight. Hopefully we catch Memphis in one of their off nights. They are incredibly inconsistent.

Re: Memphis
We are a 6 point underdog. Let's take it to them.
Re: Memphis
This is our best remaining chance at a Quad 1 win. We better be ready to win!

Mustang from India
Re: Memphis
We can't lollygag the first half. We need to be full speed the whole game.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Re: Memphis
If our guys get off to their usual slow start, I doubt there will be a comeback win. This would be a really good win; actually SMU's best win of the season but assuming Memphis defends their home court, it will be a must win to beat them in Moody

Re: Memphis
Looking forward to it! While not a must win, if we could steal this one, it would get back onto the bracketology bubble and back into the conversations. We need to create some separation where it becomes apparent that Houston and SMU are the two best teams in conference.
Hopefully, we can get off to a fast start, which is not or forte. Maybe starting Marcus will give us that ability.
Go Ponies!

Re: Memphis
while I would like to see us win this one I also would be happy if we lose and LB can smile while 'flipping the bird" to our inept little rickey.
Re: Memphis
Redpony, you suck!! Go post on the TCU board if you want to complain about winning. Good win tonight, let's keep the momentum going.redpony wrote:while I would like to see us win this one I also would be happy if we lose and LB can smile while 'flipping the bird" to our inept little rickey.

Re: Memphis
Seriously? give it a rest. LB left SMU, not because we did not pay him, he left because he put yet another team on probation, and he knew if he stayed, he could not compete under the sanctions he caused. I would say that he will also put Memphis on probation, but I believe they are on perpetual sanctions, so probably a good fit.redpony wrote:while I would like to see us win this one I also would be happy if we lose and LB can smile while 'flipping the bird" to our inept little rickey.

Re: Memphis
Having to watch that Memphis team night in and night out, I don't expect Coach Brown to stay there very long. If he was the HC and Penny the assistant, might be a completely different game. That bunch does not play well together and their hoer announcers kept using the injury excuse but it is much deeper than that

Re: Memphis
A lot of us - myself included - have willingly pointed out thinks Jank could do better. It's only fair that we also acknowledge that he gets a lot of credit for this. He started 4 guards and a 6'5" guy (Marcus W) at the 5, and beat a team with a coach recered as a great recruiter with a Hall of Fame assistant coach. Terrific win.
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
