San Jose State has hired former Tulsa head coach Keith Burns as its defensive coordinator.

This is a top notch hire. Burns did not pan out as a head coach for whatever reasons, but there is no doubt he is a very high caliber DC. He had Arkansas at a high defensive level while DC there.

And despite the bad teams he had at Tulsa, he's always had a reputation as a top-notch recruiter.
