Zach Smith, a 2024 linebacker (6-0 / 200) from Red Oak, Texas, announced on his Twitter account that he has committed to SMU. He reports 19 offers, including Baylor, Arizona State, Houston, Kansas and Utah.

Great news. Definitely need a deeper crew of linebackers, and it looks like this guy can really run. Has another year to add size and strength.
