DirecTv ABC Won't Show SMU Game
Another contract dispute, if this is not settled by tomorrow, better make alternate plans to watch.

Youtube TV. Better than DirecTV IMO, and it's month to month so you can always cancel.

Just switched to YouTubeTV myself and have no complaints but these problems with negotiations all seem to be cyclable

Go buy a digital tv antenna. Cheap and you can watch over the air.

Like many SMU basketball games, ESPN+ will carry the football game with Tulane live. Many of you probably already subscribe.

Just got off the phone with DirecTV. They are far less concerned than I am with my ability to watch the game.

Might even work old school southern engineering with a small gauge wire, aluminum foil, or old fm radio antenna with a cable adapter. No adapter just insert wire into the TV antenna or cable input. Results vary depending on how close you live to the ABC affiliate transmitter.

May the forth be with us.

All TV stations went digital a few years ago. RS is correct, a digital antenna is cheap.

Your TV tuner is digital. The antenna doesnΓÇÖt have to be. I took EE from Leo Puccaco.
The best idea is probably http://tv.youtube.com if you have a fast internet connection. You can get a free trial period of a week or two. I did that last month when we were on ESPNU. My cable TV doesnΓÇÖt provide ESPNU. DSL is a little slow, and might not work or low resolution.

I would be careful on relying on this. When Spectrum went through this with ESPN, Even though I was subscribed to ESPN+ it wouldnt let me watch a game that was part of a network. Made no sense to me and maybe it was just a glitch on their end.
Best bet is Sling, FUBO, YoutubeTV, just pick whichever one has a free trial and use that. Should be settled quickly.
Glad I am not involved in this one, only good thing Spectrum has done for me!
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: DirecTv ABC Won't Show SMU Game
Easiest thing to do to see if you can watch it on ESPN+ tomorrow is to see if you can watch the PAC12 championship tonight on ESPN+ since it is also on ABC.
For those that have ATT UVERSE or DIRECTV

Good idea just to be safe. When I tune in to my local ABC station on DirectvStream there is an audio loop message indicating that ABC programming including sports are available elsewhere including on ESPN+ but I have been misled before and I don't plan on missing this game!

Another option not mentioned: YouTube. If you have an external streamer/smart
Tv you can download the app. Often games scheduled for OTA networks show up
here without being taken down. Slightly dubious but given the game is broadcast
OTA, its an emergency option. Quality is usually SD and definitely lacks compared
to a true HD feed ( antenna is the best quality ). Ive been a victim of carriage
disputes in the past with Sling so I sympathize. Just trying to help.
Note: referring to standard YouTube and not YouTubeTV.
