Congrats to the team on their title but it begs the questions why the cheer/pom coaching change right after a major victory for the program like that?

maybe Pom Mom can answer this question. At the game at Virginia there were 12 women cheerleaders. 6 of them cheered, danced, shook, and shimmied nonstop. Their athletic prowess was amazing. The other 6 did much less. Occasionally all 12 did a routine. Why would 6 separate stand alone and be so active and the others not?

Not sure. Were they cheer or pom? If you check this link to the SMU Spirit Instagram "away games" highlights and go the end (as of this post) there are three videos of that game. Two are cheer stunts and one is the pom squad dancing. Usually we are only allowed to take 6 dancers due to rules about how many people can be on the field. During games the pom squad only dances between plays when the music comes on and the captain calls the sideline tags. If the music is on for a long time some tags feel like full routines. Not sure what cheer does, lol. The two squads are totally separate except for the fight song.

thanks for your answer. So two seperate groups. It was the pom squad dancers, just danced non stop. I was amzaed at their stamina. Oh, to be young again.
