RJ Maryland
When he goes to the NFL, is it a a tight end or a big wide receiver?
Re: RJ Maryland

Every one of your opponents is going to have to come up with some scheme to limit his effectiveness. Not going to be easy one bit.
Re: RJ Maryland
Go to Maryland early and often. He is NFL caliber right now. No excuse for the WRs not to find openings with RJ dominating downfield.

Re: RJ Maryland
HeΓÇÖs done a great job putting on weight since his freshman year. He needs to continue and get up to about 250. That would make him an ideal TE. HeΓÇÖs a true junior, so heΓÇÖs probably only 20 years old. So heΓÇÖs got room to grow.

Until one of our wide receivers steps up teams will probably double team him.Delaware Cavalier wrote:Every one of your opponents is going to have to come up with some scheme to limit his effectiveness. Not going to be easy one bit.
Re: RJ Maryland
Did they not step up? Or were they just not targeted much?
Stats are surprising: box score says we ran the ball 34 times and threw it 35 times. Felt a lot more run-heavy than that.
Smith was the target, I think, on the early interception. Bailey was targeted and missed at least a couple of times, and ended up with 0 catches. Did Dixon even play? He didn't have a catch and I don't remember seeing him on the field.
Whatever the reason, Maryland was fantastic.

Re: RJ Maryland
We should play 2 TEs. We want to establish the run and are worried about our OTs being weak. Have both Maryland and Hibner in there to block would open some more holes. Maryland is looking like (one of) our best receiver and all the positives I've heard about Hibner's good hands having one or both of them in the pattern would present problems for the defense.

Would also allow opposing defenses to put 8 in the box and make it that much tougher to get the running game goingHubbaHubba wrote:We should play 2 TEs.
