Stewart Mandel of the New York Times wrote an article today ranking the Top 25 college football coaches. As you would probably surmise, out man Rhett Lashlee made the list (at #22).
"Lashlee has only been a head coach for three seasons, but over the last two, heΓÇÖs led long-struggling SMU to back-to-back 11-win seasons, reached last seasonΓÇÖs ACC championship game and earned a Playoff berth. The MustangsΓÇÖ No. 12 finish in the final AP Poll was the programΓÇÖs highest since 1984. Not bad for their first year in a Power 4 conference."
