SMU to face LSU in Compete 4 Cause Classic Dec. 13 in New Orleans

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Basketball will face LSU in the Compete 4 Cause Classic at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday, Dec. 13. The is the second matchup in the series with SMU winning, 74-64, at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas last season.

Men's Basketball previously announced non-conference matchups with Butler at Moody Coliseum on Nov. 15, a road contest at Mississippi State on Nov. 28 and the ACC/SEC Challenge at Vanderbilt on Dec 3. SMU's 18-game ACC schedule includes home and away games with Florida State and Louisville. The Mustangs will also host Boston College, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The road-only contests are Cal, Clemson, Duke, Pitt, Stanford, Syracuse and Wake Forest. The Mustangs won't face Georgia Tech. The 2026 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament will take place March 10-14 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

In Head Coach Andy Enfield's first season on the Hilltop, the Mustangs went 24-11 overall and earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT. SMU finished 13-7 in the program's inaugural season in the ACC to tie for fourth, recording a 7-3 road record in league play. The Mustangs also won the Acrisure Holiday Invitational. The incoming high school class has been rated as high as No. 4 and the overall class as high as No. 15, which are both the best in program history.
